Chapeau convexe, hygrophane et strié, brun-jaune, brun-ochracé à gris brunâtre, crème ochracé en séchant, avec un voile ténu (max 8cm).

Lames adnées-échancrées, crème puis brun violeté à brun café-au-lait, à arête givrée plus pâle.

Pied blanchâtre, assez coriace et parfois un peu radicant.

Chair blanchâtre. Saveur douce. Odeur faible.

Sur sol riche en débris organiques, souvent au printemps.

Non comestible.
